LocalBuddy is a platform/service to allow its users submit & search local postings based on their:
- need/interests (categories)
- location (a point in the map)
- time window (limited duration, future duration)

Its unique...
- It allows the submitter to specify the visibility range (radius) and time window of the post, giving users more control on posting & searching
- Its real-time... users can submit their need just when its required - no need to plan in advance.
- Users can either use their current location, or can precisely mark one by selecting a point in the map
- Posts are never stale, they get purged off as they expire; only current/active posts stay in the system
- Users can connect "real time" to the post-submitter using in-built chat screen
- Users can set filters/alerts based on category/keyword/location/radius. As new posts get submitted or users move, notifications will be sent to them.
- When location-privacy is a real concern, users can override their posting-location with a dummy one. Once comfortable, they can choose to reveal their real location during a chat.

Its designed to be used from mobile devices.
